Golf­ing win­ners set for Mau­ri­tius fi­nals

WITH three spots up for grabs in the an­nual fi­nals in Mau­ri­tius later this year, lo­cal golfers took to the Em­pan­geni Coun­try Club greens on Tues­day af­ter­noon on a mis­sion to win their di­vi­sion at the an­nual Mercedes Tro­phy golf day.

Mercedes-Benz own­ers were in­vited to the day and fol­lowed an IPS for­mat over 18 holes.

Play­ers com­peted in the A di­vi­sion (0-8 hand­i­cap), B di­vi­sion (9-16 hand­i­cap) and C di­vi­sion (17-24 hand­i­cap).

Mtandeni Mthembu took the A di­vi­sion crown and booked his spot in the na­tional fi­nals.

Vusi Myenbe was crowned B di­vi­sion cham­pion, with Paul Kruger tak­ing the C di­vi­sion ti­tle.

McCarthy Inyanga Em­pan­geni work­ers Liezel Con­radie, Zaide Smith, Julz Ap­pel and Melissa Louw en­joyed the golf day on Tues­day at the Em­pan­geni Coun­try Club
