Bay blanket drive a revving success

Zululand Observer - Monday - - ZO NEWS - Conelia Harry

BRAVING the morning chill last Saturday, at least 40 motorists along with their support crew joined in the

VPS Richards Bay

035 Blanket Drive campaign, which reeled in over 200 blankets and cash donations.

Engines raring to go, with hearts just as eager to support a worthy cause, participants grabbed a quick coffee and warm up session at VPS Richards Bay before heading for the blanket run to the Mtunzini Country Club, where all participants enjoyed breakfast together.

All donations will be distributed to local orphanages and the first drop off was at Bonisanani in Mbabuyeni just outside Empangeni, where donations were handed over on Wednesday and 21 blankets were also sent to an orphanage in Mozambique.

This initiative is proof that not only do these petrol-heads love cars but they also have big hearts to give back to the community and make a difference.
