Com­mem­o­ra­tion tour re­vis­its his­tory

CUL­TURE and his­tory was the core top­ics of the King Cetshwayo her­itage tour last week.

Roy­alty and lead­ers from var­i­ous Zu­l­u­land mu­nic­i­pal­i­ties un­der­took an in­spir­ing and ed­u­ca­tional tour, fol­lowed by a lec­ture by Inkosi Mdlet­she at the eShowe Town Hall.

The com­mem­o­ra­tion tour started at On­dini Mu­seum in Ulundi where the del­e­ga­tion, in­clud­ing coun­cil­lors and other of­fi­cials, learned about the his­tory of the Zulu na­tion.

The guests, in­clud­ing Amakhosi and Izin­duna, learned more about the im­pact King Cetshwayo had on the area.

The special out­ing also passed through Port Durn­ford at eSikhaleni, Fort Non­qayi, the bat­tle site at Gingindlovu and the Spirit of Cetshwayo in eShowe.
