Commemoration tour revisits history
CULTURE and history was the core topics of the King Cetshwayo heritage tour last week.
Royalty and leaders from various Zululand municipalities undertook an inspiring and educational tour, followed by a lecture by Inkosi Mdletshe at the eShowe Town Hall.
The commemoration tour started at Ondini Museum in Ulundi where the delegation, including councillors and other officials, learned about the history of the Zulu nation.
The guests, including Amakhosi and Izinduna, learned more about the impact King Cetshwayo had on the area.
The special outing also passed through Port Durnford at eSikhaleni, Fort Nonqayi, the battle site at Gingindlovu and the Spirit of Cetshwayo in eShowe.
