Compassion and love begin at home
EXPRESS Employment Professionals Richards
Bay had their 6th annual Brand-it-Blue Initiative during the month of July in commemoration of Nelson Mandela’s birthday.
‘This year we identified a very special organisation and chose iKhaya LikaBaba for this wonderful campaign,’ said Nastassia Lamont, Business Developer at Express.
‘Express Employment Professionals alongside Grindrod, Scania, The Ridge Guesthouse and private donators managed to raise funds and various items such as clothing, educational toys, toiletries and nonperishable food items for the orphanage,’ she said.
The willingness to aid these abandoned and orphaned children has made a significant difference, by feeding, clothing and helping them feel a little warmer this winter. On Friday, 27 July, the donated items were handed over to iKhaya LikaBaba.
‘We are ever thankful to the community, far and wide, that we are part of and for their involvement in our lives,’ said Loressa Kritzinger of iKhaya.
‘The campaign and the time taken to pay us a visit shows that you care and for that we are extremely thankful!’ she said.
iKhaya LikaBaba is a nonprofit organisation based near Felixton, that was initially established to respond to the number of babies that are abandoned in the area owing to poverty related issues such as HIV, poverty, teenage pregnancy and the like.
iKhaya affords these babies the shelter, love, and the quality of care they deserve.
Their primary goal is to have them restored with their families, or placed in adoptive or foster families whenever possible.
Their aim is to provide well-balanced physical, social, and emotional care aimed at developing each child to his or her full potential.
