THE Em­pan­geni SPCA has had a suc­cess­ful month, with three cat and six dog adop­tions and would like to keep it up.

There is are still a large va­ri­ety of lov­able ca­nine friends look­ing for lov­ing fam­ily homes.

There are cur­rently 10 dogs, 12 cats and eight strays up for adop­tion.

The lo­cal non-profit or­gan­i­sa­tion is open Mon­day to Fri­day from 8am to 3pm; Satur­day 9am to mid­day; and closed on Sun­days and pub­lic hol­i­days.

All one has to do is pay them a visit, pick a pet and fill out an adop­tion form.

A pre-in­spec­tion of one’s prop­erty will then be com­pleted and if one meets all the cri­te­ria, a once-off fee of R750 (dogs) or R450 (cats) is paid and the an­i­mal gets sent to it’s new lov­ing home af­ter ster­il­iza­tion.
