Disability bowls set for Richards Bay
DISABLED bowlers in Zululand would like to invite locals to come out and support their fun filled day of ‘disability’ bowling at the Richards Bay Bowling Club on Saturday 10 November.
The event is in support of Bowls SA’s Disability Awareness Month and serves as a fund-raiser to send disabled bowlers to compete at the 2019 Disabled Nationals Tournament.
Each non-disabled bowler will draw a card before each game indicating the disability he or she will have for that game. (i.e blind folded, sitting in a chair, play with non-dominant hand, etc).
All competitors will follow a fours format of two games with 15 ends at a cost of R200 per team.
Action is scheduled to get under way from 8.30am.
There are prizes for each player in the different disability categories, as well as the team with the most points.
For more information or entries contact Colin Gourlie on 083 8053158 or Dirk Norval on 076 7951566.
