Man found dead on acid plant floor

THE Department of Labour and the SAPS are investigating the death of a Foskor employee at the Richards Bay plant on Wednesday. According to a Foskor Acid Division media release, the deceased employee was found lying on the floor at around 10.30am by a fellow employee. ‘He immediately activated our emergency services who promptly arrived at the scene and our occupational medical practitioner declared the employee dead. ‘We are following our own internal processes to have a formal investigation on this unfortunate event.’ The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
