SLEEP­LESS nights, hard work and ded­i­ca­tion paid off for four Em­pan­geni High School ma­tric pupils who passed their ex­ams with top hon­ours when re­sults were re­leased on Fri­day. Andiswa Ndunge, Kris­nan­nair Anuroop, Yikhokonke Kunene and Lethokuhle Mgabi all re­ceived seven dis­tinc­tions, with Mgabi claim­ing the dis­trict’s top achiever’s ac­co­lade. All four jug­gled their school­work while also ex­celling in ex­tra­mu­ral ac­tiv­i­ties through­out the year. Ndunge will be head­ing to the Univer­sity of KZN to study medicine, Anuroop will pur­sue fi­nan­cial maths at the Univer­sity of Pre­to­ria, while Kunene will fol­low in the foot­steps of his fam­ily mem­bers and study medicine at Wits Univer­sity.
