THE Moodley family has opened a FreshStop store at their Caltex garage in the Alton industrial area in Richards Bay.

The convenience store, located at 68 Alumina Allee, is the newest addition to the family’s fuel forecourt which they have been running since August last year.

It will offer customers a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, a variety of grocery items and a ‘Grab and Go’ lunchtime meal section.

‘In addition to the usual offerings, we are excited to also have the very popular Crispy Chicken and Grill to Go outlets available in-store, as well as a House of Coffees coffee bar.

‘This store will give the Alton industrial area a value for money shopping option they’ve never had before,’ said Store Retailer, Ashleigh Moodley.

He will be working alongside his brothers Rowen and Caldryn as well as his father, Cyril, to ensure customers receive the best products and services at all times.

‘Locals will no longer need to spend time driving into Richards Bay to get a quick meal as they’ll be able to pop in or WhatsApp their orders to us so they do not have to wait in line.

‘Customers can pull up in our large parking area and we’ll bring their orders to them, take payment and off they go. Quick, effective and friendly service that also supports social distancing,’ Ashleigh said.

Since taking over the site, the forecourt has been upgraded with more parking bays and additional fuel pumps to accommodate more efficient operations.

The opening of the FreshStop store has also created 12 additional jobs for people from the local community.

‘We have years of experience working together as we also run a paper converting business that manufactures various paper products,’ Moodley said.
