Get your cameras out and enter #FunnyFurBaby comp

WHETHER it's a large dog that hides behind skinny drainpipes when play-stalking other dogs, a bird that mimics your doorbell, or a cat that has figured out how to open cupboards to find snuggly spots, our pets can be endlessly amusing.

To celebrate World Veterinarian Day on 30 April, we want to not only remember the importance of sterilisation and immunisation, but remember why we love our pets so much.

Share your funniest pet moments by entering our #FunnyFurBaby competition. Videos and photos are welcome.

How to enter:

1. Send us a photo or video of your pet doing something funny. You can either WhatsApp it to 060 784 2695 or email to competition@zob. co.za

2. Include your name and surname, your pet's name, your contact number and physical address.

3. The deadline for entries is Monday, 2 May.

4. We will publish the entries on our website, zululandobserver.co.za, and let our readers vote for their favourite #FunnyFurBaby videos and photos.

5. The winners of the competition will be announced in May.

Competition rules:

1. Photos and videos of bad quality will be disqualified.

2. Videos containing foul language will be disqualified.

3. Entrants may only enter their own pets. Winners will have to prove ownership of the pet.

4. Entrants must reside in Zululand.

5. Winners must be able to collect their prizes from the Zululand Observer office in Empangeni at their own expense.

6. If a winner cannot be reached telephonically, the person will forfeit his/her prize and another winner will be selected.

7. By entering this competition, you agree that the Zululand Observer may publish your photo and video, along with your name, in any of our publications or online platforms.

8. The judges’ decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
