Zululand Observer - Weekender - - ZO NEWS -

A DELEGATION from the Greater Kokstad Municipality, led by Mayor Bheki Mtolo, visited the King Cetshwayo District Municipality last week to ‘benchmark’ the processes of renaming their municipal building.

The Kokstad municipal building is currently named after GF Heyns, but the plan is to rename the building after the founder and Chief of Griqualand East, Adam Kok III.

This will include a statue of him.

The delegation visited Richards Bay to view the statue of King Cetshwayo erected at the entrance to the District Municipality offices.

District Mayor Nonhle Mkhulisi was delighted to receive and host the delegation.
