Stop pulling the race card during arguments

Zululand Observer - Weekender - - ZO PUBLIC COMMENTS -

THE media have been filled with stories about racism of late, and I feel the urge to address this issue.

If I have an argument with someone who is of another race, why is it immediately regarded as a race issue? When two people of the same race trade insults - as humans do - there is no fuss about the incident and it doesn’t make newspaper headlines.

The old adage ‘I’m not being racist, you’re just a jerk’ applies in so many cases.

Be human, people. Get annoyed with each other, trade insults and then get over it. Not everything is about colour or ethnicity.

Sometimes people are just jerks.
