Anyone wanting to adopt one can contact the SPCA on 035 753 2086, or visit them at their premises in Bayview Boulevard, Meerensee.
A strict adoption procedure applies.
Prospective owners must complete an adoption application form, after which SPCA inspectors undertake a property inspection.
Adoption fees apply.
This is a once-off fee which includes your new pet’s first 5-in-1 vaccination, a rabies vaccination, it will be de-wormed, sterilised (if older than six months) and given an SPCA identification tag.
For pets adopted at younger than six months of age, a sterilisation contract applies.
The SPCA is always in need of donations, whether food, money or items that can be sold in their shops on the monthly market days.
Anyone who wants to donate can take their items to the SPCA premises in Meerensee. This tom cat was picked up as a stray after it appeared he had been electrocuted after touching an electric fence when jumping over a wall. He has made a full recovery and is ready to be adopted
