Be that strong, able woman

DETERMINED women will share a platform at the fourth annual ‘Be That Strong Woman’ seminar at Amble Inn in Empangeni on Saturday.

The session will be about empowering each other and discussing life challenges.

The conference is headed by abuse survivor and activist Nqobile Mkhize, with a purpose of uplifting other women during Women’s Month.

‘This is for vulnerable women who raise children on their own, mothers living with HIV and those in abusive relationsh­ips,’ said Mkhize.

‘It’s all about healing and empowering women.’

Topics for discussion will include single parenthood, divorce, marriage, woman abuse, rape, education and identifyin­g business opportunit­ies for women.

Special guests will include gospel and guitar maestro Bheka Mthethwa of Joyous Celebratio­n, as well as Pastor Zamani Nxele and Sbu NfokaBhebh­e.
