Adams scoops eShowe Cricket Club awards

THE eShowe Cricket Club held its annual awards dinner at the eShowe Hills Eco-Estate on Tuesday evening.

Club captain, Snorks Spilsbury gave an overview of the season before calling on Malcolm Munro to present the trophies.

Rob Adams took three of the trophies on offer namely the Batsman of the Year in the Weber Cup for his total of 157 runs and also in the 20/20 tournament, which included two centuries. His fellow players nominated him as the Players’ Player of the Year.

Brian Carpenter walked off with two Bowler of the Year trophies for his bowling achievemen­ts in the Weber Cup and 20/20 tournament­s.

The 24-over League batsman of the year went to Snorks Spilsbury with 165 runs in the competitio­n, while the bowler of the year was Sher Iqbal who took 10 wickets.

He was closely followed by Malcolm Munro who took nine wickets.
