Soccer festival ready to go

TWELVE local primary school boys soccer teams will compete in the annual U13 Built It soccer festival at Empangeni Preparator­y School on Saturday.

The schools will be divided into four pools and play three 20 minute matches each to qualify for the knockout stages.

Felixton College, KwaMbonamb­i, Empangeni Christian School, Empangeni Preparator­y, Grantham Park, St Catherine’s, Grantleigh, Madlankala, Wood & Row, uFsimba, Ingweni and Shashweni will be competing for a trophy, full soccer kit, practice balls and individual player trophies.

The runners-up will receive a trophy, medals and full player kit sponsored by Old Mutual.

Action is scheduled to get underway from 7.30am, with prize giving set for 3pm.
