Mo­ti­va­tional sup­port for TVET uMlalazi matrics

MATRIC pupils re­ceived valu­able guid­ance dur­ing a matric prayer pro­gramme at uM­folozi TVET Col­lege (eShowe Cam­pus) on Thurs­day.

Pupils not only ob­tained tips on how to pre­pare for their upcoming fi­nal matric ex­am­i­na­tions, but were also en­cour­aged to work hard to ex­cel in their stud­ies.

The pro­gramme was spear­headed by the uMlalazi Mu­nic­i­pal­ity Youth Coun­cil with the pri­mary pur­pose of of­fer­ing Grade 12 pupils men­tal and spir­i­tual guid­ance.

‘Statis­tics show school pupils have to cope with many chal­lenges dur­ing their fi­nal year of school­ing.

‘They are sub­jected to pres­sure from par­ents who have high ex­pec­ta­tions, exam anx­i­ety and other life stresses. It is for this rea­son that the mu­nic­i­pal­ity saw a need to of­fer a mo­ti­va­tional plat­form as sup­port,’ said uMlalazi Mayor Thelu­moya Zulu.

He also ad­vised learn­ers to en­sure they ob­tain good marks and use their ed­u­ca­tion to pre­pare for their fu­ture.

SABC uKhozi FM drama depart­ment head Lungisani Mavundla also mo­ti­vated learn­ers, say­ing they must dream big and not be shy to work to­wards a great fu­ture.
