Residents urged to pay up for services

THE Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube visited the Mandeni Local Municipality on Friday to launch the Municipal Revenue Enhancement programme, specifically designed for Mandeni.

The campaign is aimed at improving municipal revenue collection as was announced by MEC Dube-Ncube in her 2018 Budget Policy Speech.

Dube-Ncube engaged with members of the community and carried out door-to-door visits with the municipal leadership.

She also participated in a road block where she continued her appeal for payments. After the walk-about, she addressed the community at the Sibusisiwe Community Hall where she handed out pamphlets explaining the importance of paying for government services.
