Lendrum in fine form in Felixton

FELIXTON College star Connor Lendrum led his U15 cricket side to a comfortabl­e 125-run victory over Grantleigh at Dickson Oval in Felixton, after scoring an unbeaten 103 with the willow and taking three wickets with the cherry.

The talented youngster aided his side to a solid tally of 217/3 in their 30 overs, with support coming from Nathan Scherzer who scored 38 not out.

Grantleigh were skittled early for 92, thanks to Lendrum who took three wickets and Alister Reddy who also bagged three scalps for his side.

The fine form from Felixton College continued, when their first XI beat Grantleigh by 150 runs at Grantleigh on Saturday.

Once again, Felixton batted first and amassed 207/7 in their 40 overs.

Owen Reddy top scored with 52 and further contributi­ons came from Mohamed Taqvi (38) and Gordon Leslie (38 not out).

The home side were dismissed for 57, thanks to fine bowling from Renaldo Smit and Sizwe Ntanzi who each took three wickets.
