- Wellington Makwakwa

It’s all about vintage shirts this festive season. Zululanders will be dressing up in colourful, printed shirts during the Amahembe Movement event at Lulu’s BnB in Mtubatuba on Saturday from 12pm to 6am on Sunday.

Headed by local master of spin, DJ Makokorosh, the aim is to take locals back to the magical time of the 90s when bright shirts ruled the fashion industry.

This movement began when Makokorosh started wearing vintage shirts to all his gigs.

Zululanders then joined the movement and started rocking up in similar shirts at top events across the region.

‘I love vintage shirts and love to wear them on weekends. I found the audience also loved it when I wore the shirts and that inspired the unique concept.
