Countdown to swim

LOCAL endurance swimmers will be put to the test when they compete in the annual Fish Eagles 1 000m swim on 23 and 24 November at the Empangeni municipal swimming pool.

The popular event is open to all ages and carries a cost of R100 for the individual event, and R400 for the relay team event.

Relay teams must be made up of five swimmers who will complete eight x 25m laps.

There are medals for all participants and age groups, as well as overall winner prizes up for grabs.

All relays are scheduled for Friday from 3pm, with the individual swim taking place on Saturday from 8am.

One can register on both days, but entries close at 12pm on Saturday.

Entry forms are available at www. fisheagles.co.za, or can be collected at the Arboretum swimming pool or Empangeni municipal swimming pool between 2pm and 6pm Mondays to Fridays.
