Fight on for provin­cial tri­als team se­lec­tion

LO­CAL darts play­ers had to be sharp com­pet­ing in the first round of the Em­pan­geni Darts As­so­ci­a­tion tri­als held at Sorted Sports Bar on Sat­ur­day.

The as­so­ci­a­tion has over 30 reg­is­tered play­ers and is look­ing to fi­nalise its team to com­pete in the KZN tri­als in Dur­ban in March.

Six­teen play­ers at­tended the first round, fol­low­ing a best of three 501 round robin format.

Only four­teen play­ers and two re­serves will be se­lected for the provin­cial tri­als.

The sec­ond round will take place on Sat­ur­day, 8 De­cem­ber, fol­lowed by the third and fi­nal round on Sat­ur­day, 2 Feb­ru­ary.

Venues still need to be con­firmed.
