King Cetshwayo win on the road

- Richard Springorum

RH CONSTRUCTION King Cetshwayo’s run of form in the Premier League continued on Sunday at Chatsworth Oval, when the local side recorded a 72-run victory over Chatsworth.

Captain Jason Redinger’s men scored 181/8 in their 50 overs, thanks to contributions from Zakhele Ntuli (47), Simon Savides (31) and Stephan Joubert (30).

Ntuli opened the batting and fell just three runs shy of his half ton after being caught off the bowling of Yves Kamanzi.

Chatsworth’s chase just never got going, losing wickets at regular intervals which resulted in the side being dismissed for 109 in the 33rd over.

Speedster Neill Jordan claimed three scalps for 31 runs in 10 overs, with rightarm spinner Chad Neuhoff ending with figures of 3/11 in 2.3 overs.

King Cetshwayo will take on Pinetown at Addison Park on Sunday in their next assignment.
