Crusaders salute their champions

THANKS to continued equipment support from Chris Whittaker at Land Rover Empangeni, Crusaders FC has completed another successful soccer season.

The club, which trains at the Veldenvlei sports complex and boasts sides in every division from grassroots to the SAB League, including a ladies’ team, held its annual prize giving recently at the Richards Bay Civic Centre auditorium.

Winners were:

• Ballon D’or: Junior division - Akhile Mthiyane; Senior division - Moses Mthembu

• Under 11: Most Improved Player – Mishalin Naicker, Aryan Polton; Player of the Season – Simphiwe Mlondo; Best Striker – Lindokuhle Zwane; Best Defender – Trystan Peyper

• Development: Grassroots boys – Jordan Andrews; Grassroots girls – Alexa Wood; U11 boys – Simphiwe Mlondo.
