DACT will host an Open Day for can­di­dates with en­trepreneurial flair and who are in­ter­ested in run­ning their own busi­nesses in the me­tals fab­ri­ca­tion in­dus­try.

The King Cetshwayo District Mu­nic­i­pal­ity has ap­pointed DACT (Down­stream Alu­minium Cen­tre for Tech­nol­ogy) to sup­port SMMEs through an Ar­ti­san Devel­op­ment Pro­gramme and DACT will present the free in­for­ma­tion ses­sion on Wed­nes­day, 21 No­vem­ber.

Venue is the DACT premises at the ZCBF Com­mu­nity Park, South Cen­tral Ar­te­rial, Al­ton, Richards Bay and the sem­i­nar be­gins at 11am.

ABOUT DACT

The Down­stream Alu­minium Cen­tre for Tech­nol­ogy is an in­cu­bat­ing cen­tre that hosts busi­nesses in the me­tal fab­ri­ca­tion in­dus­try which in­cludes fab­ri­ca­tion, en­gi­neer­ing, weld­ing and cast­ing.

The cen­tre is set up to en­sure that in­cu­ba­tees have ac­cess to busi­ness devel­op­ment ser­vices at sub­sidised rates and also aims at re­duc­ing the chal­lenges faced by up­com­ing en­trepreneurs.

Some of the shared ser­vices pro­vided in­clude tech­ni­cal and busi­ness ad­vice, in­ter­net fa­cil­i­ties and as­sis­tance with fi­nan­cial and other ad­min­is­tra­tion.

Clients of DACT can use the in­fra­struc­ture, equip­ment and tools pro­vided at part sub­sidised rates.

DACT also cre­ates aware­ness of clients in in­cu­ba­tion by tak­ing them to ex­hi­bi­tions, SMME sem­i­nars, sup­ply chain break­fasts, etc.
