Mtuba ATM machine stolen

SHORTLY after it had been filled with an undisclosed amount of money for monthly grant payouts, a SASSA EasyPay ATM was stolen from central Mtubatuba.

The theft occurred at 6.30am yesterday (Wednesday).

The complainant was assisting grant recipients to obtain their money from the machine when he heard a voice behind him telling him to move away from it. When he looked behind him, he saw five men all armed with assault rifles.

They instructed everyone at the machine to lie down before proceeding to remove the machine from the store.
