Community foundation seeks new board members

- Tamlyn Jolly

THE uThungulu Community Foundation board is, in accordance with its constitution, seeking to appoint two new board members.

Interested parties are invited to register an interest to serve on the board, but appointed members would need to be resident in either the King Cetshwayo or uMkhanyakude districts.

A voluntary position, members serve on the uThungulu Community Foundation board for two years without compensation, except for reasonable expenses incurred during the course of doing authorised work for the foundation.

In accordance with the constitution, board members are appointed on the basis of activity in representation of public institutions or organisations concerned with community work, business, education, social welfare, health and natural resource needs.

The purpose of this provision is to make the board generally representative of public interest and the needs of the foundation’s operational areas.

Preference will be given to female candidates.
