UShaka club dominates

RICHARDS Bay’s uShaka Swimming Club swimmers showed fine form at the club’s championsh­ips in Arboretum on Saturday.

A number of records were improved and uShaka also claimed the team honours.

More than 170 athletes competed in 141 events over two days.

Swimmers will be back in action this Saturday at the Arboretum pool for the KCDA February age group gala.

This will be the last local gala for the 2017/2018 season.

The Leomat 1 000m swim will take place at the Empangeni municipal pool on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 March, with the Midmar Mile on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 February at Midmar Dam.

Levels 1, 2 and 3 and the SSA senior championsh­ips are scheduled for March and April respective­ly. 1 uShaka Swimming Club 3 310.50 points
