‘I HAVE music in me and want to share it with the world.’

Gospel giant Jabu Hlongwane said these words when he visited the Zululand Observer offices in Empangeni on Friday.

The purpose of his visit was to share news about his new album titled, Cross Power Experience 3.

The 14-track album was recorded live in Johannesburg and features a variety of gospel sounds.

He worked with his brother Bongi Hlongwane – a well known Zululand resident.

‘I also worked with two composers from Swaziland. I believe in always giving an opportunity to others,’ said Hlongwane.

According to Hlongwane, the music was recorded in a downtown Johannesburg parking lot.

The aim was to introduce something new and fresh to all his fans.

Hlongwane is the strong force behind the award-winning gospel group, Joyous Celebration (JC), and known for his evangelic and soulful voice.

He is mostly called, the godfather of South African gospel music for his contribution to the industry and for nurturing young talented musicians in the country.

Cross Power Experience 3 is available at all major music stores and on downloads.
