Hard work and commitment pay off

-

Day & Night Electrical is celebrating its 25th birthday this year. The company started off 25 years ago as a small one man electrical contracting company named D’Offays Electrical CC.

“Operating from a small garage, the Directors Pierre and Linda D’Offay started with one person in their employment”.

With the fast growth and expansion of the company, they soon had to move to a bigger rental space before purchasing their current premises at 15 Jacaranda Avenue, Mtubatuba.

The trading name Day & Night came about from the long hours that the directors put into building and growing the company to what it is today.

Today, they employ a staff contingent of over 30 people, “owning a fleet of vehicles that operate as far as Pongola in the North and Ballito in the South, and boast with a workshop and office floor space of over 600m .”

Over the years, it has seen some major expansions, becoming a fully operating air conditioning supply and service company in addition to electrical contractors.

It also boasts its own electrical wholesale company, Online Electrical Wholesalers, that operates under the same roof.

Pierre attributes his company’s success to hard work, dedication and commitment displayed by a loyal staff force that has been with the company from its early days.

‘We would like to thank all our staff, especially those with long service over 15 years: Mark Bird, Gavin Hennesy, Fanozi Mkwamubi, Patrick Dube, David Mbuyisa, Thuli Mpanza, Moses Tembe, Thokozani Mthethwa, Jabulani Tembe and Thuli Shobede,’ he says.

Pierre says, ‘I am also proud of the support that the company manages to provide to all its staff who have been a key factor in building this business.

‘Day & Night is very proud of our staff members, in particular Thuli Mpanza, Fanozi, David, Patrick and Jabulani, who came into this company with very little to no experience, from tea ladies and assistant positions, to becoming wholesale managers and qualified technicians.

‘The prompt and professional service that this company provides to its clients is also a huge reason for its success.

‘A special thanks goes out to all our clients for their ongoing support over the past 25 years. We look forward to the next 25 years going forward.’
