Search continues for missing Chilean tourist
THE search continues for missing Chilean national Slavko Andro Yaksic Besoain, who was last seen in Dundee last month.
Besoain (29), who had been on holiday and expected to return to Chile on 10 October, was last seen hiking from Dundee to Underberg via Bergville.
According to IRS Forensic Investigators, Kako or Slaks as he is informally known, had previously travelled to Mtubatuba and St Lucia and was planning on heading to Jozini before wrapping up his South African trip.
‘He had left some of his belongings with a friend in the area, including a guitar
‘His last known communication was on 25 September,’ said Chad Thomas of IRS Forensic Investigations.
According to missing persons organisation, Pink Ladies, Besoain was wearing a striped top with wine red, brown and yellow colours, orange hippie pants, a blue shirt, crocs and a large backpack with a green water protector when he was last seen.
Thomas said he has high hopes that the missing holidaymaker will be found.
‘Someone, somewhere, has information relevant to this case. Any lead, no matter how insignificant it may seem, may be the lead we need to find Kako,’ Thomas said.
