Motivational support for TVET uMlalazi matrics
MATRIC pupils received valuable guidance during a matric prayer programme at uMfolozi TVET College (eShowe Campus) on Thursday.
Pupils not only obtained tips on how to prepare for their upcoming final matric examinations, but were also encouraged to work hard to excel in their studies.
The programme was spearheaded by the uMlalazi Municipality Youth Council with the primary purpose of offering Grade 12 pupils mental and spiritual guidance.
‘Statistics show school pupils have to cope with many challenges during their final year of schooling.
‘They are subjected to pressure from parents who have high expectations, exam anxiety and other life stresses. It is for this reason that the municipality saw a need to offer a motivational platform as support,’ said uMlalazi Mayor Thelumoya Zulu.
He also advised learners to ensure they obtain good marks and use their education to prepare for their future.
SABC uKhozi FM drama department head Lungisani Mavundla also motivated learners, saying they must dream big and not be shy to work towards a great future.
