Recognition of top teachers

KING Cetshwayo District Director for Education, David Chonco, has commended the head of the Mzimela Traditional Council, iNkosi Thanduyise Mzimela, for his continued support of and passion for education.

Chonco was speaking at the Mzimela School’s awards ceremony held last week at the Mbizo Hall in Empangeni.

The function was organised by the Mzimela School Principals’ Association to celebrate excellence and hard work by educators of all the schools under this traditional authority.

It was addressed by businessman and motivational speaker, Bongi Hlongwane, and some church leaders.

The schools winning most of the awards include Sibhakuza High School, Zakheleni High, Zimeme High, Mashananandana High, Inqab ayamazimela High, Sihubela High and Njingili High, whose teachers excelled in various subjects.
