Essay competitio­n for Grade 11 learners

ARE you passionate about writing? Then enter the local Businesswo­men’s Associatio­n (BWA) annual school essay competitio­n. Grade 11 learners throughout Zululand are encouraged to submit their work. The topic is: ‘South Africa celebrated the centenary of one of the world’s greatest leaders, Nelson Mandela this year. What does his legacy mean to you and how will you continue his legacy?’

Submitted essays, in English, must be an original piece of work no longer than 500 words.

Entries should be clearly marked under the heading ‘BWA Zululand school essay competitio­n’ and include the pupil’s name, contact details and name of school.

Open to boys and girls, this year’s winning prizes include two tablets, sponsored by Richards Bay Coal Terminal and Seeff Richards Bay respective­ly.

Entries should be emailed to zululand@ bwasa.co.za and must be received by no later than 5pm on Monday, 22 October. Winners will be announced on Saturday, 24 November.
