Schools urged to support cheer project

THE Zululand Observer’s charity organisation, DICE ( Do I Care Enough?) is calling on all local nursery schools, crèches, day care centres, primary and high schools to support their annual Christmas Cheer 2018 programme.

Learners can get involved by donating toys or clubbing in funds to purchase a grocery bucket which will be donated to those in need over the festive season.

When Bay Primary School in Brackenham handed over several bags of clothing and boxes of toys and books to DICE on Tuesday, which they collected a few months ago as part of their Mandela Month activities, they accepted the ‘bucket challenge’ and encouraged other schools to participate as well.

Schools are invited to encourage their learners to donate toys and classmates can team up and collect coins to purchase a bucket.
