Zulu dance spectacle in Obanjeni

TRADITIONAL dancers burned the stage during the 1st annual Shemen Dance Festival and Competition at eMabhawuzini sportsground in Obanjeni area outside Mtunzini on Saturday. Traditional groups, both male and female, of all ages performed their skills souls on stage to impress the judges with their killer dance sequences.

Winners walked away with great cash prizes, courtesy of the sponsors.

This community initiative was headed by Bheki Qwabe, with the sole purpose of highlighting traditional dance and offering exposure to dancers around the region.
