A NIGHT of soulful music awaits Zululanders this month.

Musician and actor Xolani Ndimande (24), better known as Xola Musiq, will launch his new single Sithandwa Sami at the Wave Café in Empangeni on Sunday, 25 November at 6pm

This well known muso will be accompanied by Linda Gcwensa with local musos, poets and comedians.

The launch is headed by the Siyaphambili and Open Arms charity organisations.

‘This is a free show, but we request locals to bring donations such as food parcels, clothes or even cash to benefit the two organisations.

Xolani is no stranger to the entertainment industry, but known for his talent as a guitarist, actor and vocalist.

This emerging artist from eMadaka Reserve outside eSikhaleni has been flying the Zululand flag for years, and showcased his art in various countries such as Germany, France and Holland.

‘Even though I have always done music, people know me as an actor. This time around I want to showcase my music abilities as well as do something positive for my community.

‘I have been involved in various theatre productions and my music took a back seat. But right now my focus is to go back to where I started and spread love through music,’ he said.

Xolani has made a name for himself as part of theatre productions such as Young Zulu Warriors, which toured internationally, Zululand production Death of the Emperor Shaka, Soul Five and the national anti-rhino poaching production.
