EHS qualify for soccer semi-finals
THE Empangeni High School first team has qualified for the 2019 Sumptuous Cup soccer tournament semifinal, which will be contested at Empangeni High on Saturday, 10 August.
The Sumptuous Cup was launched by the AmaZulu Community Trust in conjunction with Sumptuous Caterers on 30 April at Sunnydale Secondary, and is a knock-out tournament with 16 participating schools.
EHS beat Sunnydale 4-1 and Bizimali 3-1 at the weekend.
EHS goal scorers against Sunnydale were Bayanda Gumede (2), Mfundi Ngema (1) and Ngcebo Makhathini (1), with Ndlovu Mvelo, Mbuyazi Bantubonke and Mthethwa Sandile all netting a goal each against Bizimali.
