Great support for eShowe school

THE Insika Foundation made some of Gcwalulwaz­i High School’s wishes come true on Friday when various items requested by the school were delivered.

Part of the handover function was the recognitio­n of second term achievers who received certificat­es.

Two learners who stood out from their peers were Grade 12 learner Xolani Nxumalo and Silondeka Ndlanzi, who is in Grade 8.

Nxumalo received certificat­es for mathematic­s (92%), life science (86%) and physical science (77%), while Ndlanzi received certificat­es for English (100%), creative art (90%), mathematic­s (85%), economic and management sciences (82%) and natural science (80%).

The foundation then presented a large number of trophies for the school’s 2019 prize giving which will be held later this year.

The trophies cover all the grades and subjects, as well as sport and leadership achievemen­ts.

Photostat paper, fresh vegetables and groceries for the kitchen and a R15 000 cheque were also presented to the principal, Mr BN Hlabisa.
