Great support for eShowe school
THE Insika Foundation made some of Gcwalulwazi High School’s wishes come true on Friday when various items requested by the school were delivered.
Part of the handover function was the recognition of second term achievers who received certificates.
Two learners who stood out from their peers were Grade 12 learner Xolani Nxumalo and Silondeka Ndlanzi, who is in Grade 8.
Nxumalo received certificates for mathematics (92%), life science (86%) and physical science (77%), while Ndlanzi received certificates for English (100%), creative art (90%), mathematics (85%), economic and management sciences (82%) and natural science (80%).
The foundation then presented a large number of trophies for the school’s 2019 prize giving which will be held later this year.
The trophies cover all the grades and subjects, as well as sport and leadership achievements.
Photostat paper, fresh vegetables and groceries for the kitchen and a R15 000 cheque were also presented to the principal, Mr BN Hlabisa.
