Bi-annual Growers Symposium on Thursday, 15 August
The Intensive Growers Association will be holding its Spring/Summer Symposium at the Durban Botanical Gardens’ Interactive Centre (off John Zikhali Road).
The theme is ‘If you can measure, you can control!’.
The symposium begins at 8am and should conclude by 4pm.
Student delegates will be required to provide current proof of registration with a recognised tertiary institution.

SA Sugar Technologists Association congress from 20 to 22 August
The 92nd SASTA congress will be held at Durban’s ICC.
This premier event is recognised by sugar technologists in South Africa and the world over.
The success is attributed to the presentation of significant scientific and technological advancements to key role players in the industry.
The success of the SASTA congress is also attributed to the exhibition which provides the opportunity for meaningful engagement with various service providers in the sugar industry.
World Youth Rhino Summit from 21 to 24 September
Building on the success of the 2014 World Youth Rhino Summit and 2015 Winter Summit, Project Rhino will host a third World Youth Wildlife Summit at the South African Wildlife College at Kruger National Park.
The summit will bring 150 youth leaders together and they will be empowered to become local, national and international ambassadors for wildlife conservation.
The platform will provide a forum for passionate teenagers, the majority from Southern Africa, with a focus on the trans-frontier conservation areas (TFCA’s), as well as Asia and other concerned countries, to engage with leading conservation experts and experience African wildlife first-hand.
The late Dr Ian Player, world-renowned rhino conservationist and speaker at the inaugural 2014 World Youth Rhino Summit, said, ‘We, the older generation, have done our bit. Now we pass the baton on to you – the youth. You need to make your voices heard…’
