AQUADENE Secondary School received a welcome boost with a donation of essential science educational equipment, furniture and training materials for its laboratory.

Hillside Aluminium partnered with Lasec Laboratories and sponsored R500 000 to supply resources to three schools, also including Matheku and Moyeni high schools.

With science tools now at their fingertips, pupils will no longer have to wait to visit science exhibitions or workshops to see practical demonstrations.

Welcoming the donations, the Department of Education’s King Cetshwayo District Director, David Chonco, thanked the local corporate for its continued commitment in supporting the department’s vision and mission to advance education.

Hillside Aluminium representative, Craig Ullbricht, said the company was passionate about advancing maths and science.

‘We are humbled to see that our partnership with Lasec Laboratories is benefitting so many learners and we look forward to this initiative expanding.’
