Cop tracing team give criminals bloody noses

- Conelia Harry

Reporting 280 arrests since they were commissioned in October, the Richards Bay SAPS tracing team of Sergeant T Dunge and Constable S Mathaba have honed in on suspects wanted for housebreaking, murder, assaults and escaping police custody.

The dynamic duo were tasked to track down suspects and made great strides in multiple cases, including the recent arrests of a man suspected of killing his girlfriend and an escapee who was quickly rearrested in Richards Bay.

Sergeant Dunge, a seasoned detective who has won numerous awards, including Visible Policing Officer of the Year 2016, has worked around the clock with Constable Mathaba to crack down on criminals and make Richards Bay a safer city.

‘We pledge to continue working with passion and enthusiasm to rid our city of criminal elements and encourage members of the community to report criminal activities in their areas,’ said Dunge.
