MOTHs mobilise to help comrade John Peach

- Larry Bentley

THROUGH the generosity and concern over the well-being of a comrade, the MOTH Motorcycle Association (MMA) has ensured that John Peach is mobile once more.

Fort Pearson MOTH member John, a diabetic whose right leg had to be amputated, was battling to move around.

A call was made to all Zululand MOTH members requesting support to buy a wheelchair, and the MMA, through its chairman Piet Fourie, stepped up to the plate and donated a brand new wheelchair.

The MMA is an offshoot of the main MOTH movement, but still an integral part of it and reaches out to those less fortunate.

The MOTH (Memorable Order of Tin Hats) movement is an organisation formed by former servicemen who support one another, especially in times of need.

The organisation has three ideals guiding it in the execution of its function - ‘True Comradeship’, ‘Mutual Help’ and ‘Sound Memory’.
