Unity is a winning formula for Bizimali

- Wellington Makwakwa

UNITY among leadership, teachers and pupils is the winning formula which continues to see Bizimali High School producing top Grade 12 results every year.

This year, the school outshone others yet again when seven pupils each earned 8 distinctions.

From 445 pupils, 411 achieved top marks, with many passing with flying colours, earning distinctions and the school obtaining an overall 92.4%.

Top achievers included Nomvelo Nkomo who took top position, Sboniso Nsele who scooped second place, and Lusinda Nxumalo who ranked third in the school and fourth in the King Cetshwayo district.

Other achievers with top marks include Abongile Khowa, Kulungile Mhlongo, Bongumenzi Mchunu, Nomonde Ngcobo and Nontobeko Mncwango.

Proud principal, Ntandoyakhe Ntuli said the teachers worked seven days a week with the students to attain their amazing goals, however, it was team work which produced the sterling results.

‘When you are a leader, you can’t just supervise but must lead by example.

‘You can’t be part of the vision while you sit in the background. The formula is for everyone to be on the same page, and understand the purpose and mission,’ he said.

Ntuli also said as a school they ensured all their learners were kept busy, to prevent them from diverting their minds to other things.

For more than five consecutive years, the school has been producing top results and has gained a good reputation across the province.

Over the years, it has become known as a school that can deal with ‘problem pupils’ and has had hundreds from other parts of the province flocking to study there.

Last year, the school produced the top learner in the province and numerous others with top marks.
