Gospel star releases new single

- Wellington Makwakwa

SPREADING the word of God through music is Richards Bay gospel star, Jabulile Brenda Nzama (42).

The rising artist, known as MaBree N, recently released her second single titled Zero to glory.

According to MaBree N, her new musical contribution is a worship song which talks about hardships in life, as well as imploring people to trust in God with all their difficulties.

‘It aims to motivate others that it’s never over until He says it’s over. Even when people reject you and leave you, He will always be here for us,’ said MaBree N.

This worship singer is definitely no stranger to the music industry.

She started singing in church as a worshipper at a young age and later joined a chorus group called SA Singers.

Last year she released her first single titled Uyingcwele.

She also runs a non-profit organisation for young musicians called uMhlathuze Rise.

The group not only empowers young musicians, but MaBree N also gives them a platform to record their music in her home studio.

‘We have tons of talent in the area, but with no resources. I started the organisation and the studio to empower them to produce good recorded music which can be accepted everywhere,’ she said.

This mother of two is not just a musician, but an academic with a degree in labour relations management from UKZN, as well as a diploma in language practice from the Durban University of Technology. She is currently an interpreter at the Department of Labour.

Her recent single is available on many online music stores.
