Alex Dodd on the move with technology
FELIXTON College Grade 8 pupil Alex Dodd is making great strides in the technology sphere and entrepreneurship, and flying the flag high for AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy where he has excelled over the past few years.
The 14 year old has been part of the programme and has, over the past three years, added many feathers to his cap.
These include: Student for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship champion 2021; NQF level 5 business course with the University of Free State; eighth place when representing South Africa internationally.
He was the youngest participant at Ethekwini Municipality's Smart Meter Hackathon 2022 and was one of the youngest participants at Nemisa Hackathon in 2021.
Alex was the youngest participant in the Arm Embedded Challenge, and completed the course on Tiny Machine Learning in 2022.
He is presently involved in AI (artificial intelligence) for good smart farming challenge, and is eager to venture into any new opportunities that may arise.
AlgoAtWork Robotics Academy has been running for four years. It works hard to find opportunities for young students, encouraging them to travel the world, and helps them build the confidence to solve problems the world did not think they could, while allowing them to do it their own way.
