Protecting animals is a top priority for versatile Reese

- Conelia Harry

BAY Primary School pupil Reese Chinsamy scooped the winning title at the school’s Mini Debs fundraising event last Friday where he was crowned king after raising a substantial amount of money towards the school’s hall project.

The six year old and his family led several initiatives to rally support and funds for the school hall building fund, and to achieve its goal of completing the state-of-the-art structure in the next few years.

The fun-loving and energetic Grade 1 pupil loves his school and enjoys participating in all activities, as well as attending kiddie gym.

He likes to keep busy, enjoys playing soccer and cricket, and he supports the SunRisers Hyderabad cricket team.

He is also an avid Manchester United fan, but also supports his brother’s favourite team, Liverpool when his favourite is not playing.

Attending church and being part of the children’s church is what Reese looks forward to on weekends, as well as playing on his drums.

Much of his spare time is spent building Lego and playing with his Chihuahua, Zack, which is more his bodyguard, following him everywhere he goes, including scouting around outdoors for insects and bugs.

Reese also has a pet leopard gheko named Beanie and a parrot fish called Tom. He is an animal lover, and believes in respecting the environment and protecting all God’s creatures, big and small.

When he grows up, he would like to be a cricket and soccer player, and a paleontologist, following his passion and love for dinosaurs.
