Zululand Hospice memorial ceremony

THE annual Zululand Hospice Tree of Light ceremony takes place on 8 December at the Zululand Observer grounds in Empangeni.

Not to be confused with Christmas services, the ceremony focuses on lighting candles in memory of lost loved ones – whether or not they were Hospice patients.

The programme includes prayers and music items with the focal point being the switching on of the tree and lighting of the personal candles of remembrance.

Candles and cards will be on sale at the venue where there will also be food stalls.

Bring your own camping chair and blanket if necessary.

The service will begin at 6pm and should be concluded by 8pm.
