Kindness through book
LOCAL kindness ambassador and head of department at Richards Bay Primary School, Professor Rose Reddy commemorated World Kindness Day last week with the launch of her first book, Make Kindness the Norm: Building a Block of Civility.
As founder of the Rose Kindness Foundation, Reddy had many reasons to celebrate the special occasion which coincided with her birthday on 13 November.
Reddy said the purpose of the book is to create awareness on the importance of being kind to everyone in this often unkind world.
She is passionate about providing a place of refuge for the emotionally and physically wounded, and she reminds us how important it is to acknowledge others' existence and lift their spirits with something as simple as a smile.
Professor Reddy’s book ranked 48th in ethics and morality, and 65th in friendship books on Amazon.
