Con el performance Los abrazos abre Manuel Mendive (Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas 2001) su intervención en la XIII Bienal de La Habana. Interpretaciones de la pieza musical Quiéreme mucho, coros folclóricos, el sonido del tambor y el canto de los gallos se integrarán en una danza de amor eterno a la vida con los cuerpos semidesnudos de bailarines pintados por el artista. El canto del gallo es la señal que da comienzo a la exposición, donde interactúan diferentes técnicas y lenguajes: videos, esculturas, relieves en metal y pinturas. Su tema central es el hombre, que se une en una sola voz a seres místicos, extraños para algunos, sensuales para otros, totalmente desconocidos para muchos.

With the performance Los abrazos, Manuel Mendive opens up at the XIII Biennial of Havana.
